Daily habits and risk of disc herniation in Dachshunds

The first large-scale Italian study dedicated to Dachshunds and the risk of disc herniation

For the first time in Italy, Bio Bass is promoting a large-scale study aimed at Dachshund owners to analyze how daily habits—exercise, diet, weight, and home environment—can influence the risk of intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), one of the most common and painful conditions in this breed.

Why we’re doing it: because we believe every Dachshund deserves a long, happy, and active life.
Through this survey, we aim to genuinely improve their quality of life by collecting real data and sharing knowledge with the entire community.

The results will be analyzed anonymously and published in a free informative report to spread best practices and promote prevention.
The project is inspired by international research like DachsLife (University of Cambridge), adapting its model to the Italian context.

Completion time: about 5 minutes
Anonymous questionnaire
Target audience: all Dachshund owners, in Italy and abroad
